This is the scanned copy of postage stamp released by Hon'ble President of India on  92nd birthday of  Sahir Ludhianvi.  Besides, the Department of Posts, the credit for this achievement goes to Dr. K.K.Paul, former Member, UPSC whose love and affection for Sahir has resulted in release of this postage stamp.

Commemorative postal stamp for Sahir Ludhianvi on March 8, 2013

The Department of Posts will issue a commemorative postal stamp in the memory of Sahir Ludhianvi on March 8, 2013, the 91^stbirth anniversary of the legendary poet. It is in recognition of his contribution to literature, poetry as well as the Hindi Film Industry.

The President of India will formally release the commemorative stamp and the first day cover at a function in Rashtrapati Bhawan.
